BillShift is a Canary product testing whether U.S. internet customers want a faster way to understand a sudden monthly price increase.

What is being tested

The hypothesis is narrow: after a bill rises, comparing two statements and seeing exact changed lines is more useful than reading another broad article about lowering bills.

Why the first version is local

A bill can contain sensitive personal information. The core job can be tested without uploading statements or paying for a model, so the Canary keeps processing in the browser. An AI explanation layer is a later experiment, not a reason to collect private data now.

What BillShift is not

It is not a provider, bill negotiator, comparison marketplace, financial adviser, or legal service. It does not log into customer accounts and does not sell a subscription in the Canary phase.
